Northside Hospital is a leading healthcare provider in Atlanta, committed to delivering exceptional patient care and advancing the quality of our services. As a clinical resource and consultant, you will play a vital role in the care of patients with complex medical conditions, including ostomies, fistula tubes, dermal wounds, and incontinence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical expertise and guidance to nursing staff in the care of patients with gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and integumentary system disorders.
- Assist in staff development, education, and patient education related to wound care and ostomy management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement evidence-based care plans.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in wound care and ostomy management.
Requirements:
- BSN graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
- Two years of related clinical nursing experience.
- Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
- Graduate of an accredited Wound, Ostomy, and Continence (WOC) Nursing Education Program.
- Board certification in Wound and Ostomy care.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Continence Certification preferred.
- Knowledge of WOC Nursing program development and teaching experience.
