**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Security Officer | Security Enthusiast to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional security services, ensuring the safety of our guests and employees, and maintaining the overall security of the hotel. **Responsibilities:**

* Escort guests to their rooms when necessary, providing a warm and welcoming experience.
* Assist with overnight room deliveries and housekeeping/maintenance requests, ensuring that all guests' needs are met.
* Patrol the building multiple times throughout the night to ensure that all is in order, adhering to hotel standards.
* Handle unruly guests with professionalism and tact, prioritizing their safety and well-being.
* Prepare shift reports, providing accurate and detailed information about incidents and security concerns.
* Monitor surveillance cameras and change security tapes per standards, maintaining a high level of security awareness.
* Respond to emergencies as needed, providing timely and effective assistance.
* Walk public areas to check for safety violations, ensuring that all guests and employees are aware of potential hazards.
* Investigate and take first report for accidents, injuries, and/or disturbances that take place in the hotel, providing a clear and concise account of events.
* Call the police when necessary, collaborating with local law enforcement to ensure the safety of our guests and employees.
* Maintain knowledge of hotel emergency procedures, ensuring that all team members are equipped to respond in emergency situations.
* Escort employees to their cars when necessary, providing a safe and secure environment.

**Additional Responsibilities:**

* Adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the hotel, including those contained in the employee handbook.
* The hotel operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, and department schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands. Employees may be asked to work shifts other than those they prefer or normally work.

**Requirements:**

* Previous security experience is essential for this role, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional security services.
* Must be able to handle pressure situations calmly, prioritizing the safety and well-being of guests and employees.
* Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team.

**Compensation:**

$18 per hour
