Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Methodist Family Health. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Provide clinical and behavioral interventions to assist clients in achieving positive outcomes and improving their mental and behavioral health.
  • Respond to client communications in a timely and professional manner, ensuring that their needs are met and their concerns are addressed.
  • Assist support staff in securing PCP referrals, obtaining necessary documents, and reminding clients of appointments.
  • Provide transportation to clients and families as needed, ensuring compliance with treatment plans.
  • Attend regular staff meetings and participate in ongoing training and education to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Accurately document interventions and services provided in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), adhering to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Check Alerts daily in the EMR and respond to treatment documents in a timely manner.
  • Check emails regularly and respond promptly to ensure effective communication with clients, families, and staff.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 60 hours of college education, with a bachelor's degree in a Human Service field preferred.
  • Good computer skills, with experience with Microsoft Word and Excel applications preferred.
  • Ability to document accurately and professionally.
  • Experience working with at-risk youth or other populations with special needs preferred.
  • Ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and education to maintain certification as a Qualified Behavioral Health Professional.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires ongoing regular access to PHI of all forms while on duty and performing within the scope of the job. The ability to maintain effective audio, visual, and olfactory abilities is essential for this role.
