Paralegal Specialist

Job Title: Senior Paralegal

Company Overview:

WCF Insurance is seeking a highly skilled Senior Paralegal to provide administrative support to attorneys in the department. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in gathering information, preparing legal documents, and maintaining systems necessary for tracking legal responsibilities and litigation processes.

Estimated Salary Range: $64,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain calendar and diary system for necessary filings with the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board and ensure timely completion of forms and filings.
2. Assist in gathering material requested in subpoenas, medical record documents, QME/AME evaluations, and scheduling depositions and medical evaluations.
3. Request QME panels using the DWC QME portal and prepare and file various pleadings with the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board.

Requirements:

• Three to five years of experience in the Workers' Compensation field or a combination of education and experience.
• Experience working with the DWC EAMS system and DWC QME portal.
• Paralegal certificate or completion of a paralegal course preferred.
• Excellent dependability, communication, and professionalism.
• Working knowledge of Word and Excel and strong oral and written communication skills with emphasis on technical writing.
