Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled LPN to join our team in a Primary Care setting. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with RNs, MAs, and providers to collect data, plan, educate, implement, and deliver care safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide basic quality nursing care to patients, collaborating with RNs, MAs, and providers to collect data, plan, educate, implement, and deliver care safely and effectively.
  • Collect and document patient data, including medical history, symptoms, and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by providers.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to RNs or providers.
  • Provide patient education on health conditions, treatments, and self-care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Diploma from an approved practical nursing program.
  • Active State of Maine Nursing License or eligible for licensure.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Two years' LPN experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.
  • Familiarity with healthcare systems, regulations, policies, and functions.
  • Understanding of documentation standards.
  • Knowledge of infectious disease management and control safety standards.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug dosages.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and diverse patient populations.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of electronic medical records.
