About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Team Member to join our team at American Foods Group. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a range of specialized tasks in a warm, hot, humid or wet environment, including the use of tools such as knives, hooks, or other specialized equipment.
- Properly use equipment to perform physical tasks that require upper body strength and constant repetitive movements.
- Stand on hard surfaces for extended periods, use of stairs and personal protection equipment (PPE) is required in all areas of the facility.
- Comply with all food safety policies and regulations, including the proper handling and storage of food products.
- Adhere to all safety and housekeeping processes and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for employees, customers, and visitors.
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
- Work and collaborate with a diverse work population.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must be able to work in a variety of work temperatures, including warm, hot, humid, cold, wet, or with slippery surfaces at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Must be able to perform the job duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Ability to work extended scheduled hours, Monday through Saturday, with daily overtime, and must be able to work overtime as required.
- Must be able to successfully complete training in Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Food Defense.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior harvest or fabrication experience in a USDA-inspected beef, pork, or poultry facility.
- Prior production experience.
- Work history in the last 12 months.
