Commercial Estimator/Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Estimator/Project Manager to join our team at CertaPro Painters of Ridgewood, Wayne & Hudson County.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet with clients to discuss their specific needs and create accurate estimates that meet their requirements
  • Ensure that estimates include all necessary project information, including products and quantities, and incorporate any changes requested by the client
  • Closing sales and collaborating with colleagues as needed
  • Preparing job schedules, budgets, and materials lists and delivering them to team members and clients
  • Providing estimates for change orders on current projects
  • Delivering projects that meet customer expectations
  • Conducting site inspections and walkthroughs to identify progress and address potential issues
  • Supervising project staff and subcontractors
  • Promoting job site safety and encouraging safe work practices
  • Updating project data in all applicable documents and company systems
  • Developing and maintaining client relationships through regular communication
  • Acting as a liaison between clients and project teams
  • Maintaining positive relationships with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other employees
  • Promoting business development by projecting a positive image of CertaPro during interactions
  • Participating in meetings, committees, and educational opportunities as requested
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Four-year degree preferred
  • At least five years of increasingly responsible project management/estimating experience
  • Supervisory/management experience
  • Project Management training and/or certification a plus
  • Estimator certification a plus
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills
  • Quality conscious and detail-oriented
  • Safety and customer service oriented
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organization skills, able to multitask, and manage time to meet deadlines
  • Active listener
  • Excellent math skills
  • Strong computer and internet skills
  • Experience with project management and/or estimating software preferred
  • Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
  • Must have own vehicle
  • Willing and able to work overtime and on weekends as required
