Pharmacy Inventory Specialist

At YesCare, we are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Inventory Manager to join our team. As a Pharmacy Inventory Manager, you will be responsible for managing the inventory of medications and supplies in our correctional healthcare facilities.
Responsibilities:- Contribute to the assessment of the health status of patients and participate in the development and modification of their plans of care.
- Perform delegated tasks, activities, and functions that are consistent with prior educational preparation and within the scope of practice.
- Provide direct basic care to assigned multiple clients within the structure of the healthcare program at their facility.
- Provide safe and effective nursing care and assume responsibility for the care delivered.
- Put away medication cards, stock cards, and bulk stock, and review medication cards for excess inventory levels.
- Update controlled substances logs, as permitted by local regulations, utilizing two nurses to sign off on counts and updates.
- Process new, discontinued, and refill orders to the pharmacy, and return excess medications, expired medications, and discontinued medications to the pharmacy.
- Perform inventory, including offender-specific medications, and process transfer and release medications.
- Make provider staff aware of any supply issues on medications, such as backorders and recalls.
- Issue KOP medication calls and identify non-compliant offenders.
- Implement patient education based on established teaching plans.
- Utilize a problem-solving approach as the basis for decision-making.
- Monitor offsite and onsite scheduling with a collaborative approach.
- Monitor the consult process as it relates to policy and contract.
- Participate in Quality Improvement.
- Ensure onsite and offsite follow-up care of patients, including telemedicine appointments.
- Work in collaboration with Regional Medical Director, site medical providers, Regional Nursing Director, and other site nursing leaders.
