About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Journeymen Chiller Mechanic to join our team at Johnson Controls. As a key member of our commercial, industrial, and institutional markets team, you will be responsible for executing contract maintenance visits, inspections, site assessments, and service requests for medium-large tonnage chillers of all brands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute contract maintenance visits, inspections, and site assessments for commercial, industrial, and institutional clients
  • Diagnose and repair equipment and systems at customer locations
  • Provide quote estimates for labor and material repairs and upgrades
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and coworkers through effective oral and written communication
  • Represent Johnson Controls as the direct customer contact and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Work as part of a team to deliver the highest standard of service to all customers, including occasional overtime and weekend work
  • Participate in on-call rotation for 24/7 service
Requirements
  • Requires Mechanical Journeyman status
  • More than 5 years of commercial, industrial, and/or institutional experience with all types of chillers, various compressor technologies, chiller control systems, and speed drives
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with hand-held computers
  • Adherence to company safety program
  • Valid driver's license and appropriate licenses to work with refrigerants
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work on-call nights and weekends on a rotating basis
