Job Title: Operations Specialist

FactoryFix is seeking an experienced Operations Specialist to join our team. As an Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our hot forge process, including the setup and maintenance of equipment, troubleshooting, and training of operators.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze job orders, drawings, and specifications to verify dimensions and tool selection.
  • Operate machinery associated with the forging of metal components, including induction heating, vertical forging, and ring rolling.
  • Setup and teach robots and loading/unloading devices for proper operation.
  • Lead diagnostic efforts to correct equipment breakdowns and process deviations.
  • Inspect or test damaged machine parts and advise supervisors and maintenance of repair needs.
  • Assess tooling required to support production needs and submit requisitions for new or replacement tooling.
  • Track tooling usage and improve tooling life.
  • Write work instructions and process planning documentation for operations.
  • Conduct operator and setup personnel training on work instruction improvements.
  • Analyze SPC data for production runs and look for trends in results.
  • Maintain strong communications with operators, maintenance, and supervisors.
Requirements:
  • Ability to pass on-line skills assessment.
  • Basic understanding of computer operations.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
