Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Superintendent to lead and manage our maintenance division, ensuring that maintenance work is performed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a preventive maintenance plan that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives
  • Schedule and assign maintenance work to the maintenance team to ensure timely completion
  • Review maintenance requests and identify priorities for maintenance work
  • Track and analyze equipment and maintenance data to identify trends and patterns
  • Develop and update maintenance procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and codes
  • Manage maintenance budgets, track costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Provide training and coaching to maintenance staff to improve their skills and knowledge
  • Manage and supervise maintenance staff, ensuring they have the necessary resources to perform their work effectively
  • Monitor work progress and lead problem resolution
  • Establish department priorities in conjunction with production
  • Recommend and manage the Equipment Reliability budget
  • Interview and recommend for hire the apprentices and journeymen needed to support proper staffing
  • Adhere to accepted safety practices, identify potential safety problems, and ensure good housekeeping
  • Consult on Safety Sign Off Procedure, new equipment, and cost savings related to production, automation, and equipment in the plants
  • Develop bids and specifications for outside maintenance contractor work
  • Assist in the administration of policy formulation of the Maintenance Apprenticeship Program, Budgeting, Company policy, and manpower planning
