Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations by gathering health histories through interviews and chart reviews, performing physical examinations, and ordering necessary diagnostic tests.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive treatment strategies, including prescribing medications and educating patients and their families about health management.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient care and effective communication regarding treatment plans.
  • Research Participation: Engage in clinical trials and research initiatives aimed at improving psychiatric care and outcomes.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with confidentiality regulations and best practices in patient advocacy.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Provide evidence-based psychotherapy tailored to the needs of patients with bipolar disorder, utilizing various therapeutic modalities.

Qualifications:
  • Active RN and APNP license in Texas, along with board certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in psychiatric care, particularly with bipolar disorder.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record systems.

Working Conditions:
Standard office environment with potential exposure to biohazards and chemicals. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to meet operational needs.
