Key Responsibilities:
  • Expertly operate and navigate your assigned vehicle
  • Transport vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) exceeding 26,000 lbs.
  • Secure cargo within the truck or flatbed to prevent any damage or injury
  • Collect signatures to confirm successful deliveries
  • Assist in planning efficient driving routes
  • Adhere to a set route to ensure timely delivery
  • Maintain communication with dispatch as necessary
  • Conduct thorough inspections of your vehicle before and after each trip
  • Check weather and road conditions prior to departure
  • Keep your vehicle clean and well-maintained
  • Perform necessary vehicle maintenance (refueling, oil changes, tire pressure checks, repairs, etc.)
  • Report any significant maintenance or delivery issues to management
  • Track and document working hours accurately
  • Follow company policies and regulations diligently
  • Comply with all traffic laws and adjust driving according to weather and road conditions
  • Adhere to ICC and DOT regulations consistently
  • Prioritize safety at all times
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial truck driving is preferred
  • Clean driving record with no violations
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening
  • Proficient in driving and parking large, heavy vehicles
  • Detail-oriented, alert, and focused
  • Physically and mentally fit for the demands of the job
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
  • Possess strong physical stamina for extended driving periods
  • Comfortable with long-haul transportation
  • Capable of operating electric lifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.
  • Proficient in using GPS and other navigation systems
  • Experience in map reading and route planning
  • Strong sense of direction
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Dependable, disciplined, and resourceful
  • Ability to manage stress effectively
