Job Description:

The Executive Director of Operations will be responsible for consistently delivering a high-quality product and exceptional guest service experience that meets or exceeds customer expectations. This individual will model and create an environment where the customer is always right, ensuring a positive guest service experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Understand and execute all company policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs.
  • Respond promptly and positively to customer concerns, correcting potential problems before they affect guests.
  • Hire high-quality employees who demonstrate and ensure consistent customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure all employees are trained, motivated, and empowered to deliver exceptional guest satisfaction.
  • Evaluate each employee's ability to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain the restaurant at the level necessary to meet or exceed company standards for Quality, Service, and Cleanliness.
  • Utilize labor effectively to meet budgets while ensuring high-quality QSC.
  • Work in a standing position for long periods of time and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
Training and Development:
  • Continuously improve the skills, knowledge, and morale of all employees, treating them with courtesy, honesty, and respect.
  • Effectively utilize all training programs from new employee orientation to management training classes.
  • Prepare qualified employees for promotion to the next position and develop adequate numbers of shift leaders to meet business objectives.
  • Evaluate each employee's performance based on clearly communicated standards and expectations, holding them accountable for performance.
  • Conduct weekly manager meetings to ensure open communication and address any concerns.
Effective Business Management:
  • Maximize financial performance and profit, ensuring the restaurant achieves objectives in sales, profitability, service, quality, appearance of facility, and sanitation/cleanliness.
  • Develop and execute the business plan, including fiscal responsibilities, manpower planning, and local restaurant marketing.
  • Achieve results by planning, communicating, delegating, and following up.
  • Execute company-wide marketing programs and initiate local restaurant marketing strategies to maximize sales.
Appropriate and Fair Business Practices:
  • Ensure business and personnel practices are within the law and consistent with policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a role model and set a positive example for the entire team in all aspects of business and personnel management.
  • Enforce all labor laws and follow procedures to maintain the safety and security of all employees, customers, and company assets.
  • Uphold SFCC food safety, food handling, and sanitation requirements to ensure the health and safety of customers and employees.
  • Knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair, and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules, and procedures.
Job Requirements:
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the restaurant's trading area.
  • Have knowledge of service and food and beverage, generally involving at least three years of front-of-house operations and/or assistant management positions.
  • Have 2 years of kitchen experience from a scratch kitchen.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
