Advanced Practice Provider

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at The Chickasaw Nation Medical Center. As a General Surgery Advanced Practice Provider, you will be responsible for providing inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical services to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician.
Key Responsibilities- Provide routine medical assessments and treatments for patients of all ages.
- Perform outpatient surgical procedures, including removing cysts and skin lesions, debridement, and other surgical interventions.
- Conduct patient pre-operative hospital and clinic day surgery admission histories and physicals, including obtaining statements of chief complaint and present illness, past medical history, social history, and family history.
- Develop patient assessment and preliminary patient care plans.
- Provide post-operative care to patients on an as-needed basis, including evaluating patient physical condition, removing sutures and/or staples, aspirating wound fluids, and providing specific patient care as needed.
- Dictate discharge summaries for patient medical records and billing purposes, including final diagnosis, operations and/or procedures performed, complications, discharge needs, discharge instructions, and a narrative summary of patient stay.
- Make hospital patient visits to monitor patient physical condition, review patient medical records, and adjust patient care plans as needed.
- Coordinate patient hospital discharge process, including informing and instructing patients on current condition and follow-up care, interacting with family members and/or other healthcare professionals relative to patient needs.
- Document all procedures and/or services provided to patients on charge, process route slips in accordance with established procedures, and ensure accurate billing to patient accounts.
- Provide first-class customer service, including being courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types.
- Masters of Nursing degree or completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification.
- Pass general background check.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration Number.
- Standard Driver's License.
- Work in a hospital or clinic setting.
- Potential exposure to biohazards and contagious diseases.
- May be required to assist individuals who are emotionally disturbed.
- Interact with clinical, support, technical, professional, or management staff in a variety of settings and situations.
