Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care utilizing the nursing process to address medical and nursing needs.
  • Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Provide age-specific and culturally appropriate care.
  • Document patient care in the electronic healthcare record.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to keep providers informed of patient status.
  • Provide education to patients, families, and/or significant others.
  • Participate in hospital and departmental Quality Assessment Process Improvement activities.
Requirements
  • Current unencumbered Arizona Registered Nursing License.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Successful completion of arrhythmia course within 6 months from date of hire.
  • ACLS Certification within 6 months from date of hire.
  • PALS Certification within 6 months from date of hire.
  • TNCC within 1 year from date of hire.
  • One year ER experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Able to communicate effectively in English both orally and written.
  • Able to work and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to manage, prioritize, and delegate patient care appropriately and effectively.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of common disease processes, treatment modalities, and interventions.
  • Verbalizes knowledge of safe and accurate medication administration principles.

  • Must be able to perform physical requirements of the job.

  • Acts as clinical resource and preceptor.
  • Able to perform procedures and provide services requiring technical knowledge and manual skills.

  • Nursing-specific procedures.
  • Collaborates with and coordinates patient care through ancillary departments to provide continuity of care throughout the hospital stay.
