About the Role

The Member Service Representative will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service to our members. This individual will be responsible for performing a broad range of member service activities, including opening new accounts, processing transactions, and providing information on Credit Union products and services.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong service orientation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Previous experience in a financial institution, preferably in a member service or loan processing role, is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Process member service transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, account transfers, and address changes.
  2. Provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service to members, including opening new accounts, processing loan applications, and cross-selling Credit Union products and services.
  3. Utilize tact and experienced-based knowledge to research and resolve member inquiries, explaining specific policies, procedures, products, and services.
  4. Represent the Credit Union in a professional manner, maintaining positive member relations and adhering to our core values.
  5. Perform other member services, operational, loan processing, and administrative duties as assigned by the Assistant Manager or Branch Manager.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; AA degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a member service or loan processing role in a financial institution.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Credit Union products, services, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Excellent verbal, written, telephone, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • PC proficient, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the Internet.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced financial institution branch environment and utilize standard office equipment.
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
