Swish Analytics is a cutting-edge sports analytics startup, dedicated to pushing the boundaries of predictive data products. Our team of innovators is passionate about harnessing the potential of science to drive business success.

As a Product Engineer, you will be part of our Research & Experimentation branch, working closely with thought leaders in the Sports Data space to develop transformative products. Your expertise will help us scale internal tools, enhance future-generation products, and make strategic bets on new features.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accelerate adoption of proprietary frameworks and models, ensuring seamless integration into our product offerings.
  • Establish and refine KPIs and OKRs to drive scaling and growth.
  • Apply large-scale data processing techniques to craft innovative sports betting products.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging approaches to inferential statistics, sampling, and experimental design.
  • Examine the integration and scaling of real-world operations, simulations, experiments, and demonstrations.
  • Develop risk management strategies for assessing and mitigating risk.
  • Craft analytic approaches or solutions to complex problems with incomplete information.
  • Adhere to software engineering best practices and contribute to shared code repositories.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Applied Math, Data Analytics, or related technical field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience developing machine learning and statistical products to serve business needs.
  • Strong foundation in Probability Theory, Machine Learning, Inferential Statistics, Bayesian Statistics, and Markov Chain Monte Carlo methods.
  • Advanced Python and SQL skills.
  • Experience with source control tools like GitHub and CI/CD processes.
  • AWS environment expertise.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to partner with teams to solve complex problems.
  • Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
