Extension Educator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as an Extension Instructor or Open Rank Extension Educator in Early Childhood Education. This is a 12-month, non-tenure track position that offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young children and their caregivers.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality educational programs and resources focused on early childhood development and education. This will involve working closely with parents, teachers, early childhood professionals, and caregivers to provide research-based information and support.
Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and deliver educational programs and resources for early childhood professionals and caregivers.
- Engage in collaborative learning environments to encourage the adoption of research-based information.
- Deliver educational programming for early childhood statewide and within the assigned accountability region.
- Work with research faculty to engage in action research and translate research-based information into educational programming.
- Practice effective extension scholarship by engaging in community-based participatory research and measuring program impact.
- Bachelor's degree in child development, human development, early childhood education, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate information to various audiences.
- Successful experience teaching in formal or non-formal education settings.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and programs.
- Experience working with individuals, coworkers, and teams to accomplish individual and/or group goals.
- Outstanding leadership skills.
- Knowledge and/or experience working with early childhood professionals and/or caregivers.
