Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide patients through their financial obligations related to the services provided by the facility.
  • Assess patients' financial capabilities, determine their ability to pay, and explain insurance benefits and financial liabilities.
  • Ensure accurate and timely verification of insurance benefits.
  • Collect payments, negotiate payment plans, secure financing options, and identify potential funding sources.
  • Clarify any questions patients may have regarding their financial responsibilities to the facility.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a two-year degree is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
  • Experience in insurance verification is essential.

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience in healthcare collections or a related field, or a combination of education, training, or experience in a healthcare business office is preferred.
