About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Turbomachinery Mechanic to join our team at Siemens Energy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of turbomachinery equipment, including steam turbines, centrifugal compressors, and reciprocating compressors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Disassemble, inspect, repair, and rebuild turbomachinery equipment
  • Work alongside a team of mechanics, machinists, weld technicians, inspectors, engineers, and project managers to ensure efficient and safe repair processes
  • Collaborate with repair engineers and project managers to review repair instructions and implement repairs
  • Assemble equipment as needed, following OEM drawings, specifications, and standards
  • Document and photograph work throughout the repair process
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Medium-sized toolbox on wheels, including hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.
  • Proven ability to interpret shop instructions and manufacturing drawings
  • Proven ability to read scales, micrometers, and other precision measurement tools
  • Familiarity with tools and equipment at the repair center
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with limited supervision
  • Positive, can-do attitude, with excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in industrial mechanical repairs
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in rigging with straps, chains, chain-falls, swivel eyes, etc.
  • Background in repair of reciprocating compressors, centrifugal compressors, and/or steam turbines
