About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Turbomachinery Mechanic to join our team at Siemens Energy. As a key member of our industrial repair team, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of complex turbomachinery equipment, including steam turbines, centrifugal compressors, and reciprocating compressors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Disassemble, inspect, repair, and rebuild turbomachinery equipment
  • Work alongside a team of mechanics, machinists, weld technicians, inspectors, engineers, and project managers to ensure efficient and safe repair processes
  • Collaborate with repair engineers and project managers to develop and implement repair plans
  • Use precision measurement tools and equipment to inspect and measure components
  • Document and photograph repair processes and results
  • Review and implement repair instructions and shop routers
  • Assemble equipment as needed, following OEM drawings and specifications
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Medium-sized toolbox with essential tools, including hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and precision measurement tools
  • Proven ability to interpret shop instructions and manufacturing drawings
  • Ability to read scales and micrometers
  • Familiarity with tools and equipment at the repair center
  • Demonstrated ability to work with limited supervision and take constructive feedback
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to quality and safety
  • Dependability and ability to work overtime as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum three years of experience in industrial mechanical repairs
  • Minimum three years of experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts
  • Minimum three years of experience in rigging with straps, chains, chain-falls, swivel eyes, etc.
  • Background in repair of reciprocating compressors, centrifugal compressors, and/or steam turbines
