Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, deliver, and serve meals as instructed.
  • Ensure meals are appealing, nutritious, and served promptly while adhering to portion control guidelines.
  • Assist the culinary team in meal preparation and verify dietary trays post-distribution.
  • Organize the kitchen and supplies for upcoming meal services.
  • Maintain cleanliness by returning utensils to their designated areas and ensuring a safe, tidy work environment.
  • Participate in daily sanitation tasks including sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a dietary aide or in food service is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to foster a warm, patient, and enthusiastic atmosphere.
  • Must obtain a Food Handler's Card within the first month of employment.

This position is governed by a collective bargaining agreement.
