About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Certified Veterinary Technician Supervisor to join our team at VCA Shaker Road Animal Hospital. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in overseeing clinic operations and leading our team of Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, and Housekeeping staff.

Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate the workflow on the hospital floor to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  • Cultivate a positive and engaging work environment that fosters a strong hospital culture.
  • Collaborate with hospital management and supervisory teams to drive the progression of the hospital and achieve our goals.
  • Assist in the interview process for potential new hires and onboard all new associates to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Develop and implement educational programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our Veterinary Technicians.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate important information and address any concerns or issues.
  • Provide opportunities for staff to gain hands-on experience and develop their skills.
  • Mentor and coach Veterinary Technicians to help them grow and develop in their roles.
  • Resolve conflicts and issues in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Refine and implement protocols to ensure compliance with VCA policies and guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, RVT, LVMT) with a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience.
  • Proven leadership experience and a passion for veterinary medicine.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
