Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team on a PRN basis. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will work with patients in an inpatient setting, providing assessment, treatment, and education to improve communication and swallowing abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' communication and swallowing abilities, developing and implementing treatment plans to improve function and quality of life.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and achieve patient outcomes.
  • Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers on communication and swallowing strategies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Stay current with best practices and evidence-based research in speech-language pathology.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech Pathology or equivalent required.
  • Certification of Clinical Competency (CCC) by the Board of American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  • Current Maryland State license or eligibility required.
  • One year of recent acute/subacute experience preferred.
  • Previous experience using Microsoft Office required.
  • Current BLS certification required.
