Responsibilities
  • Performs as a circulator, scrub, or monitor on the Cath Lab procedure team, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
  • Prepares patients for procedures, ensuring accurate and timely information is available to the medical team.
  • Administers medications and provides critical care to patients, including those who are critically ill.
  • Performs hemostasis safely and properly, utilizing vascular devices as needed.
  • Enters patient orders and charges, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Provides education and support to patients and families, ensuring they are informed and empowered to make informed decisions about their care.
  • Collaborates with the medical team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or equivalent education.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of employment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification from the AHA or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
