Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Catheterization Lab team at SSM Health. As a Cardiac Catheterization Lab Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our cardiovascular program.

Responsibilities
  • Performs as a circulator, scrub, or monitor on the Cath Lab procedure team, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
  • Utilizes critical judgment to analyze patient assessments and administers medications as needed, reporting any abnormalities to the physician in a timely manner.
  • Provides education to patients and families based on assessed needs, documents education provided, and keeps them informed of tests and treatments.
  • Assists families to the cardiology area or Cath lab area by escorting when necessary.
  • May perform point of care testing according to policies and procedures.
  • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Registered Professional Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of employment.
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Work Environment

This is a full-time, 32-hour per week position working day shifts in a fast-paced Cardiac Catheterization Lab environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
