Position Overview

The City of Benicia is seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Recreation Leader. This position is essential for overseeing and engaging with children aged 6 to 12 within our community programs.

Work Schedule

The program operates Monday through Thursday from 1:15 PM to 6:30 PM, and Fridays from 11:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Availability during these hours is a requirement for applicants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and ensure the safety of children during recreational activities.
  • Plan and organize daily events, including arts and crafts, games, and sports.
  • Collaborate with the Recreation Specialist to implement engaging programs.

Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum age of 15 years.
  • Previous experience working with children is preferred.
  • Must obtain Standard First Aid and CPR certifications upon hiring.
