Job Summary

We are seeking a Recreation Leader - Youth Basketball Referee to supervise children in the Benicia Parks & Community Services Department. The successful candidate will have experience playing basketball and knowledge of the basic rules of the game.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise children (6 - 12 years of age) in the Benicia Parks & Community Services Department
  • Enforce the basic rules of basketball
  • Interact with children, coaches, and parents
  • Work on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Requirements
  • Standard First Aid and CPR certifications
  • Mandated reporter position
  • Knowledge of the basic rules of basketball
  • Experience playing basketball in an organized league
  • Ability to work with children

Please note that employment is contingent upon successfully passing a drug screen and background check (fingerprints).
