Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of heavy equipment operators, laborers, and landfill staff to fulfill daily operational requirements.
- Assist in establishing and implementing safety objectives.
- Conduct field inspections and audits of site personnel to ensure adherence to proper work protocols.
- Address and evaluate customer feedback regarding collection services.
- Develop both short-term and long-term strategies and action plans for site development.
- Engage in regular profit and loss assessments to ensure compliance with budgetary constraints related to labor and materials.
- Oversee a range of intricate compliance initiatives, including environmental regulations, DOT, OSHA, and local permitting.
- This role typically follows a Monday to Friday schedule from 6:30 AM to 5 PM, with occasional Saturday work.
Qualifications:
- Prior leadership experience in a heavy equipment environment.
- A minimum of 2 years of management experience in a people-oriented setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations.
- Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Excel and Word, with the ability to learn specialized company software.
- Detail-oriented, highly accountable, and capable of prioritizing tasks effectively.
- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
