Job Title: Shift Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Lead to join our team at Heavenly Comfort AFC. As a Shift Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our daily activities, overseeing staff performance, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Staff Management: Oversee and manage staff during shift operations, ensuring compliance with company standards and procedures.
  • Task Assignment and Performance Goals: Assign tasks and set performance goals for team members, delegating responsibilities effectively.
  • Shift Scheduling and Staffing: Monitor and manage shift schedules, including breaks, to ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained.
  • Training and Support: Train and support new and existing employees, providing guidance and feedback to improve performance.
  • Work Environment: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, enforcing safety protocols.
  • Customer Service: Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and resolve issues promptly.
  • Equipment and Inventory Management: Ensure all equipment and tools are used correctly and kept in good working condition, reporting any malfunctions to maintenance staff.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels during the shift, including receiving stock, organizing storage, and reducing waste.
  • Transactions and Cash Handling: Process transactions and handle cash accurately when required.
  • Company Policies and Standards: Implement and reinforce company policies and standards among staff members.
  • Communication and Reporting: Communicate effectively with team members and other shift leads to ensure smooth transitions between shifts, and report shift activities, incidents, and staff performance issues to higher management in a timely manner.
  • Team Engagement and Motivation: Promote a positive work atmosphere that encourages teamwork and employee engagement.
  • Training and Continuous Improvement: Participate in regular training and meetings to stay updated on company practices and to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role or leadership position
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Proven ability to manage and lead a team, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Flexibility and Availability: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills and proficiency in office software
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of industry standards and regulations
  • Conflict Resolution and Problem-Solving Skills: Conflict resolution and problemsolving skills
  • Training and Motivation: Capacity to train and motivate staff
  • Inventory Management and Ordering Supplies: Experience in inventory management and ordering supplies
  • Compliance and Financial Acumen: Ability to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, basic financial acumen to manage shift budget and sales goals
  • Customer Service: Commitment to providing exceptional customer service
  • CPR and First Aid Certification: CPR and first aid certification may be required or preferred

Compensation: 17-19 Hourly Wage
