Job Summary

Capital One is seeking a highly skilled Senior Platform Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of security measures to protect our Workday environment. As a key member of our security team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Workday applications and data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Security Implementation: Assist in the design, implementation, and management of security controls for the Workday environment, ensuring robust and effective security configurations and integrations.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and risks within the Workday environment, collaborating with the risk management team to develop and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Access Management: Implement and manage role-based access controls (RBAC) to ensure appropriate access levels for users, regularly reviewing and updating access permissions to maintain compliance and security.
  • Incident Response: Assist in the investigation and response to security incidents related to the Workday environment, participating in root cause analysis and remediation efforts.
  • Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with internal security policies and industry best practices, contributing to the development and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with IT, HR, and other business units to understand security requirements and integrate security measures into business processes, providing technical support and guidance to stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices, proactively suggesting improvements to enhance the security posture of the Workday environment.
  • SOX Compliance: Support SOX audit activities by ensuring Workday security controls are in place and functioning as intended, preparing documentation and evidence to demonstrate compliance with SOX requirements.
Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
  • At least 4 years of experience in information security
  • At least 3 years of Workday Security experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in Workday security administration
  • Workday Pro Certification in Security
  • 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service
  • 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
  • Experience with managing security configurations with the Workday Financials module
