Assistant Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology

We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology to join our team at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in the development and delivery of instructional and clinical activities in the Division of Urogynecology and the Women's Pelvic Floor Center.
Key Responsibilities- Administration (10%):
- Participate in departmental meetings and activities related to overall operations.
- Serve on committees as designated at Memorial Medical Center and St. John's Hospital.
- Develop a program of women's health in the area of pelvic care and education.
- Teaching (20%):
- Assist in the coordination, development, and delivery of the curriculum and electives for medical students and residency training programs in Urogynecology.
- Teach Urogynecology to Ob/Gyn and Urology residents.
- Serve as a student mentor when appropriate.
- Participate in continuing medical education programs in Urogynecology.
- Research (10%):
- Participate in clinical investigations in areas of specialty interest.
- Service (60%):
- Actively participate in the SIU HealthCare Plan with emphasis on clinical teaching and patient care.
- Hold appointments or committee assignments on state and national medical societies and hospital committees as assigned.
- Provide consultative assistance to state and national governmental agencies when requested.
- Completion of an approved residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Board eligible or board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Completion of Fellowship Training in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery.
- Board eligible or board certified or ABOG certified in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery.
