Data Governance Specialist

Job Summary
Riverside Research seeks an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead experimental data projects and develop knowledge management policies for the National Air & Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.
This position will be part of a five-person team providing support to the NASIC Chief Data Officer in developing and implementing enterprise data governance and management practices to support the Data, Analytics, & Assessment Division (A9D) NASIC data management strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and advice to the vision, design, and oversight of complex projects focused on exploring data governance and management concepts.
- Interview data owners to develop taxonomies and knowledge models that meet enterprise standards.
- Collaborate with enterprise data leads, customers, developers, and other stakeholders to develop new enterprise-level data management plans and workflow processes.
- Identify opportunities for automation to improve processing and sharing of intelligence data, including identifying data models and standards to support object-based production.
- Support mission area system characterization case studies as directed by the government.
- Research leading-edge concepts for data and knowledge management and recommend experiments to apply these concepts to NASIC data.
- Advise government customers in the prioritization of activities.
- Participate in planning activities such as release planning sessions and technical proposal reviews.
- Produce communication materials (schedules, briefings, etc.) to keep stakeholders apprised of projects.
Requirements
- Current Top-Secret clearance with SCI adjudication.
- Bachelor's degree in information science, computer science, engineering, library science, mathematics, or a related technical field.
- Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills.
- Self-motivated, independent, detail-oriented, responsible team player.
- 10+ years of experience in technical project management or systems engineering experience.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in creating and maintaining data guidance artifacts in the intelligence domain is an advantage.
- Experience with intelligence production.
- Experience with requirements documentation.
- Master's degree in business, engineering, or a related technical field.
- Understanding of agile software development concepts.
Compensation and Benefits
$120,000 - $145,000 This represents the typical compensation range for this position based on experience, location, and other factors.
