POSITION SUMMARY:

Goodwill Staffing is looking for a reliable and skilled landscape irrigation technician to support our client's landscaping team. The successful candidate will handle the installation, upkeep, and repair of irrigation systems for both residential and commercial properties. A solid understanding of irrigation systems, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work outdoors in varying weather conditions are essential. While prior experience in irrigation is preferred, candidates with substantial landscaping experience who wish to expand their skills are also welcome to apply.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems, including sprinklers, piping, and control mechanisms.
  • Identify and resolve issues within irrigation systems and execute necessary repairs.
  • Conduct regular inspections of irrigation systems to ensure optimal performance and water conservation.
  • Adjust and program irrigation controllers based on seasonal requirements and weather patterns.
  • Work collaboratively with landscaping team members to integrate irrigation systems into landscape designs.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns regarding irrigation systems.
  • Keep accurate records of all work performed, including repairs, inspections, and installations.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in all tasks performed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Certification in irrigation systems or a related field is preferred.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in landscaping, irrigation system installation, maintenance, and repair is required.
  • Experience with both residential and commercial irrigation systems is preferred.

Additional Skills:

  • Knowledge of landscaping and irrigation systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks requiring lifting, bending, and outdoor work in various weather conditions.
  • Willingness to work occasional weekends or overtime as needed.
