Position Overview

The Senior Microelectronics Engineer will be responsible for conducting comprehensive technical evaluations of microelectronics packaging initiatives pertinent to the Industrial Base Analysis and Sustainment (IBAS) advanced packaging and testing efforts across various government programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team of professionals from government, industry, and academia to evaluate technological capabilities, assess risks, and determine potential impacts on the Defense Industry Base (DIB). The engineer will provide detailed and timely technical contributions to various IBAS microelectronics activities and technical interchange meetings (TIM).
  • Participate in project status meetings, both in-person and virtually, to communicate findings that facilitate informed decision-making by the Government.
  • As necessary, the engineer will enter into Non-Disclosure Agreements with relevant government, industry, and academic partners.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the microelectronics sector, focusing on tooling requirements, fabrication processes, and packaging architectures.
  • Proficient in semiconductor material chemistry and the mechanical and electrical properties associated with them.
  • Experienced with microelectronic interconnects and their architectures.
  • Knowledgeable in reliability testing methodologies within the microelectronics field.
  • Familiar with microelectronics failure modes and analysis techniques.
  • Expertise in advanced packaging processes.
  • Interpersonal Skills:
    - Strong technical writing capabilities
    - Excellent verbal communication skills
    - Proficient presentation abilities
    - Effective collaboration skills
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • An Active Secret Clearance is required or the ability to obtain one.

Educational Requirements:

  • BS degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
