Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Lead Program Coordinator to join our team at Kainos Home & Training Center. This dynamic role will be responsible for developing and implementing personalized programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities, focusing on independence, skill-building, and community integration.

About the Position:

  • This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4 pm, with occasional flexibility required.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for creating engaging and inclusive programs.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement person-centered curricula, activities, and partnerships to meet individual goals and program objectives.
  2. Train, teach, engage, and supervise adults with intellectual disabilities in various settings, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  3. IDentify and create classes, mock stations, and training programs that promote independence and skill-building, including virtual instruction and community outings.
  4. Document all developed programs for staff to follow and implement, ensuring consistency and quality.
  5. Plan and execute community outings, activities, and classes throughout the month, promoting socialization and skill development.
  6. Drive agency vehicles or utilize public transportation as needed to facilitate program activities.
  7. Provide job coaching and oversee clients in employment opportunities, emphasizing independence and skill-building.
  8. Maintain accurate documentation of client attendance, progress, and goal achievement, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
  9. Promote good public relations with employers, family members, and the general public, highlighting Kainos' mission and services.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; Associates Degree preferred.
  • Passion for Kainos' mission and commitment to serving individuals with intellectual disabilities.
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, with a focus on person-centered approaches and community-based programming.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record, with the ability to drive agency vehicles as needed.
  • Able to pass a physical examination, TB test, and maintain current CPR/First Aid certification.
