Speech Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Pathologist to join our team at the Children's Hospital of Richmond. As a seasoned therapist, you will have the ability to adapt intervention strategies to meet the unique needs of patients in various settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide coverage in primary and secondary settings with minimal-moderate support and training from mentors, peers, or managers.
- Assume leadership roles within the department, demonstrating flexibility, good judgment, problem-solving, and collaboration with colleagues.
- Participate in department projects and events efficiently and productively.
Licensure and Certification:
- License (or licensure eligible) from the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP). Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in SLP from American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
Experience:
- Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of experience in clinical settings. Previous experience with evaluation/treatment of neurogenic, motor speech, linguistic/cognitive communication disorders, and swallowing disorders. Experience with trach management and complex swallowing and/or communication disorders is preferred.
Education:
- Masters Degree from an ASHA accredited program in Speech and Language Pathology.
Compensation:
$62,000 - $82,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
