Speech Language Pathologist Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to join our team in the Richmond area. This is a full-time position with a caseload of students in grades K-12.

About the Role:

  • This SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to implement speech therapy treatment plans.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with communication disorders, particularly those with AAC device experience.
  • Familiarity with IEPs and collaboration with other members of the therapy team is also preferred.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the implementation of speech therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist.
  2. Provide direct therapy services to clients, including individual and group sessions.
  3. Document client progress and maintain accurate records.
  4. Collaborate with other members of the therapy team to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Speech Language Pathology Assistant program or related field.
  • Valid Speech Language Pathologist Assistant license or certification in the state of California.
  • Experience with AAC devices and prior experience working with individuals with communication disorders is preferred.
