Role Overview: The computer science curriculum at DCI aligns with AP Computer Science Principles and AP Computer Science A standards. In introductory courses, students explore fundamental coding concepts, data structures, and algorithms. They also investigate career opportunities in IT, the ethical implications of technology use, and the broader architecture of the internet and networks. Advanced students will engage in the two AP courses later in their academic journey.

Compensation: $63,113 - $114,845 (Starting salary is based on educational qualifications and relevant experience)

Required Qualifications:
  • A Master's Degree in secondary education or a related field is preferred (Bachelor's Degree is mandatory).
  • Prior experience in teaching this subject area or professional experience in software development.
  • Proficiency in utilizing various technology platforms for instructional guidance and communication with students and families, with a preference for familiarity with G Suite tools, including Gmail.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, Python, and/or Java programming languages, or a willingness to learn on the job.
