Surgical Services Manager

Next Move Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Services Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Surgery and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) departments.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surgical services, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory or charge nurse position. They will be responsible for managing staffing, scheduling, and maintaining productivity targets, while ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to policies and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee staffing assignments and ensure adequate daily coverage.
- Prepare and complete work schedules, including managing on-call staffing.
- Recommend staffing changes and interview, hire, and evaluate personnel.
- Provide performance appraisals, goal setting, counseling, and discipline as needed.
- Manage day-to-day operations in PACU, Surgery, Sterile Processing, and the Valve Clinic.
- Ensure that department operations meet performance benchmarks and productivity targets.
- Participate in budget preparation and monitor departmental financials.
- Regularly communicate with staff and participate in meetings with physicians and other departments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- At least 5 years of experience in surgical services.
- Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or charge nurse position in Surgery/Day Surgery.
