Join Our Team as a Finance Trainee

Saputo, a leading global dairy processor, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Trainee to join our team. As a Finance Trainee, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of finance, including market communications, supplier price change analysis, and operations cost tracking.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in analyzing and tracking financial performance of operational units.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process for operational expenses.
  • Prepare financial reports and variance analysis for operational units.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and ensure accuracy.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Perform financial analysis to support decision-making.
  • Participate in ad hoc financial projects and research as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Quick learner with professional demeanor.
  • Knowledge of basic principles and practices of accounting and financial analysis.
  • Self-motivated, able to multi-task, work independently, and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and positively represent and promote Saputo at all times.
  • Ability to work scheduled hours and required overtime as needed.
  • Display traits of reliability, honesty, respect, attention to detail, and punctuality.
  • Effective communication skills.
