Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate care and support for participants in special needs LifeGroups.
  • Assist in organizing and implementing classroom activities.
  • Modify and adapt activities using a multi-sensory approach to enhance engagement.
  • Promote socially acceptable behaviors through positive reinforcement and behavior modification techniques.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and reinforcement to support learning objectives.
  • Implement classroom management strategies with clearly defined rewards and consequences.
  • Attend to the physical, emotional, and social needs of participants with professionalism and care.
  • Ensure the safety and security of participants during transitions to various activities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the classroom environment, including sanitizing toys and surfaces.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the overall mission of the ministry.
Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:
  • A strong personal faith in Jesus Christ and active involvement in a Bible-believing ministry.
  • Completion of training provided by Prestonwood Baptist Church for working with special needs individuals.
  • Willingness to participate in church-wide special events as needed.
  • Ability to adhere to a regular weekly schedule.
  • Physical capability to perform activities that require mobility, including lifting up to 30 pounds without assistance.
