Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Barista to join our team at Fry's Food Stores. As a key member of our coffee shop team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness in our stores.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide prompt and courteous service to customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the coffee shop area.
  • Supervise and direct department personnel to ensure quality customer service and efficient operations.
  • Delegate job assignments and responsibilities to associates in accordance with duty rosters.
  • Order and maintain stock and supplies, monitoring conditions and appearance of same throughout the department.
  • Assist customers in the selection and purchase of specialty coffee beverages and whole bean sales.

Requirements:

  • Must be a trained and certified barista.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Able to calmly, courteously, and tactfully handle stressful situations and make a positive impression on associates and customers.
  • Minimum willingness and availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior food handling experience.
  • Supervisory skills.
  • Ability to increase sales through effective marketing and merchandising of products in the department.
