Compensation Pay Range:
$22.00The Automotive Parts Consultant will deliver exceptional service to both retail and installer clients. This role will also assist store management in achieving designated objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Promote and adhere to all company customer service initiatives, including Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, and Rock the Lot.
Warmly welcome retail customers and assist them in selecting products that meet their needs.
Support managers and installer service specialists in providing assistance to professional customers as required.
Complete all relevant company training associated with the position.
Deliver outstanding service to customers via phone by following company protocols, accurately identifying parts, quoting prices, recommending premium items, and ensuring the Low-Price Guarantee is communicated.
Maintain and secure the cash drawer accurately, process cash and checks, make change, and handle credit card transactions.
Facilitate exchanges and returns in a courteous manner, adhering to company policies.
Address customer complaints with a friendly approach.
Assist in daily operational tasks, including freight receiving, stocking shelves, and maintaining cleanliness.
Handle various operational duties such as preparing merchandise returns for shipment, assisting with stock adjustments, and conducting inventory counts.
After completing necessary training, operate brake lathes and other testing equipment.
Provide in-store services for customers, where permitted by law, such as installing wipers, testing batteries, and scanning vehicle trouble codes.
Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle to fulfill delivery needs, ensuring compliance with company driving eligibility standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES
Required:
Ability to swiftly match alphanumeric sequences.
Exceptional customer service skills, demonstrating friendliness and professionalism.
Capability to multitask effectively, managing customer interactions both in-store and over the phone.
Desired:
Familiarity with automotive components, cataloging systems, and automotive sales or service.
ASE certification is a plus.
