Job Summary
The Pipewelder Specialist will be responsible for laying out, fabricating, assembling, installing, and maintaining piping and piping systems, fixtures, and equipment for various industrial processing systems. This role requires a strong understanding of system operation and the ability to interpret building plans or working drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Work within precise standards of accuracy to ensure high-quality workmanship.
- Rate information using standards that can be measured or checked.
- Compare and identify differences in size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects.
- Interpret flat drawings or pictures and understand how they would look as solid objects.
- Follow oral and written directions, plans, and blueprints.
- Perform tasks that require good eyesight, either naturally or with correction.
- Coordinate the movements of eyes, hands, and fingers.
- Use hands, arms, and fingers fully to perform tasks.
- Climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolding.
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl to access work areas.
- Work at heights as required.
- Lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
Requirements
- Must be a journeyman-level pipewelder or have journeyman training in progress.
- Pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screen, Criminal Background Check, Physical Exam, Customer Security Check, E-Verify, Motor Vehicle Record (if applicable), and other assessments (if applicable).
- Be available to work when scheduled and use time effectively and productively.
- Perform quality, accurate, complete, well-organized, concise, analytical, and well-articulated work.
- Communicate effectively, understand, and follow directions.
