Land Acquisition Internship Opportunity

Meritage Homes is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Land Acquisition team as an intern. As a Land Acquisition Intern, you will have the opportunity to learn the land acquisition process, including searching for land, identifying land, underwriting the land, and the closing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct market research and financial analysis to identify potential land acquisition opportunities
  • Work closely with internal business leaders to learn the homebuilding industry and the Meritage business model
  • Participate in cross-functional projects involving other interns and business leaders centered around current business challenges
  • Present real-world business recommendations to senior leadership to help drive our strategy
Requirements:
  • Actively enrolled in a degree program from a regionally accredited university or college
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a team environment on cross-functional projects
  • Experience dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty
  • Experience in a leadership capacity or role and influencing peers
