The Lincoln Group is collaborating with a prominent organization in the client services sector to identify a Senior Tax Consultant for a direct-hire opportunity. This role will operate under the guidance of a Partner and/or Director, playing a crucial part in supporting the firm's clientele while also providing mentorship and leadership to junior staff members.

Type of Hire: Direct Hire

  • Software Proficiency: Must be adept in using QuickBooks Online and Desktop.
  • Work Environment: On-site with flexible scheduling options.
  • Compensation: Competitive salary up to $125K+, depending on experience, along with annual performance bonuses.

Company provides assistance for CPA exam testing fees.

Unlimited Paid Time Off (PTO)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with the team on various tax-related projects.
  • Efficiently prepare and review diverse tax returns (e.g., 1040, 1120, 1065).
  • Build and sustain client relationships through a thorough understanding of tax planning, including estate considerations.
  • Lead client projects as assigned and serve as the primary contact for client interactions.
  • Oversee all accounting activities associated with client engagements.
  • Participate in billing and Work In Progress (WIP) analysis alongside other Managers, Partners, and Seniors.
  • Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information encountered during job duties.
  • Mentor and develop team members.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing processes and procedures.
  • Occasionally travel to client offices for meetings using a personal vehicle.
  • Be prepared for increased operational hours during peak tax season.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Highly detail-oriented, accurate, and exceptionally organized.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic office environment.
  • Capable of working collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience in leading team members and managing assignments.
  • Exhibit a service-oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrate active listening skills.
  • Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Knowledge of Tax Basis Accounting, both Cash and Accrual methods.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Tax Accounting or a related discipline is mandatory.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
  • A minimum of 5 years in public accounting is preferred.
  • Pursuing CPA designation is advantageous but not essential.
