Job Title: Assistant Director of Sales

At Sunrise Senior Living, we are seeking a highly motivated and organized Assistant Director of Sales to join our team. As a key member of our Sales and Marketing team, you will play a critical role in supporting the achievement of our occupancy and revenue goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Sales and Marketing team in managing the community's sales and marketing database (CRM) and maintaining accurate records of prospect interactions.
  • Support the scheduling and execution of on-site sales and marketing events, ensuring a positive experience for residents and their families.
  • Coordinate resident move-in administrative tasks, including preparing welcome packets and ensuring a smooth transition for residents.
  • Under the supervision of the Director of Sales and Marketing, work to advance leads through the sales process, conducting callouts, taking call-ins, and presenting to internal customers.
  • Assist in maintaining a thorough working proficiency in the customer relationship management (CRM) lead tracking system and support the Sales and Marketing team in effectively maintaining all current prospect records.
  • Support the Executive Director, Director of Sales and Marketing, and Director of Sales in building trusting relationships with prospects by understanding the Sunrise product and how it meets customers' needs.
  • Ensure model suite(s)/apartment(s) are well maintained and presentable, and assist in setting, tracking, and accomplishing sales goals in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate effective telephone skills, producing qualified leads and appointments, and prepare resident Administrative Files according to Sunrise and state-specific regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the move-in process, meet with residents and/or family members on move-in day, and review the Move-In Packet to ensure all information is explained.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the Resident Assessment with the Resident Care Director and Assisted Living Coordinator/Reminiscence Coordinator, and ensure all Sunrise and required state forms are completed by the resident and/or family on or before move-in date.
  • Schedule the Resident Agreement Signing on Move-In day, collect any remaining paperwork, and review the welcome packet with the resident and family member(s).
  • Orientate residents and family members to the community, present the room to the resident and family, and explain the telephone and emergency procedures systems and other services.
  • Arrange lunch or dinner for residents and family members on Move-In day, and ensure the suite/apartment is ready for Move-In using the Suite Readiness Checklist.
  • Communicate any necessary suite/apartment readiness needs with the Maintenance Coordinator, and maintain an open and ongoing dialogue with residents and/or family members from the time the Move-In Fee is placed through Move-In to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Initiate communication with residents' physicians and/or family members to ensure completion and delivery of the Physician's Statement and any state-specific forms.
  • Assist residents and family members in making the emotional connection to the new community through awareness, integration, and socialization techniques and engaging activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident information, and partner with the community team to ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, promoting Risk Management programs and policies and adhering to safety rules and regulations.
  • Practice safety procedures at all times, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), fire extinguishers, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and Lockout Tagout.
  • Actively participate as a member of a team and commit to working toward team goals, demonstrating our Team Member Credo in daily interactions with others, and committing to serving our residents and guests through our Principles of Service.
  • Contribute to the overall engagement programs and processes (customer and team member engagement), and attend regular meetings, including Town Hall, Department Team, Cross Over, and others as directed by the Supervisor/Department Coordinator.
  • Maintain compliance in assigned required training and all training required by state or other regulating authorities as applicable to this role to ensure that Sunrise standards are always met.
  • Support sales team in executing successful sales and marketing events.
Qualifications:
  • One (1) year of experience in a sales support role and/or two (2) years of experience as a Sunrise Team Member.
  • Previous customer service or sales experience.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, possess excellent phone, written, and verbal skills for effective communication, and facilitate small group presentations.
  • Competent in organizational and time management skills, demonstrate good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, and demonstrate proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel), and Sunrise applications with the ability to learn new applications.
