We are seeking a skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team at Shore Medical Center. As a key member of our Emergency Department, you will provide direct, basic patient care under the guidance and direction of a Registered Nurse.
Key Responsibilities- Provide care and cleaning of specific equipment, stocking of supplies and equipment, and transportation of patients, supplies, and equipment.
- Assist with patient care tasks, such as vital sign monitoring and basic wound care.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
- Intermediate computer skills and excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, with the ability to lift, push, and pull as needed.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Nursing Program.
- Previous experience working in an Emergency Department.
- Phlebotomy and EKG certification.
